Ellen Ketterson is an internationally known evolutionary biologist who specializes in research in animal behavior. Several of her discoveries have put her at the forefront of evolutionary biology, including her 20-year population study of the dark-eyed junco.
Ketterson’s current research interests include maintenance of biodiversity and ecological systems, particularly how migratory animals are likely to respond to environmental change. She is using newly developed technology to examine migrating animals’ abilities to adjust and adapt to new environments.
She is co-leader of ERI’s Movement Ecology team.
