Janet McCabe brings experience gained during her career in state and federal environmental policy to her work on ERI initiatives.
From 2013 to 2017, she was assistant administrator for the Office and Air and Radiation at the Environmental Protection Agency, where she shaped and implemented Clean Air Act standards, including the mercury and air toxics standards, the clean power plan and ozone standards.
Previously, she served as executive director of Improving Kids’ Environment in Indianapolis and as assistant commissioner for the Indiana Department of Environmental Management.
McCabe’s role with ERI is to ensure that resources developed at the institute are responsive to the needs of officials, businesses and Hoosier individuals as they plan for environmental change.
