Tools & Resources
ERI Data Platform
Goals: Create a suite of interactive data visualization tools that can combine the many kinds of data about the state of Indiana produced by ERI to develop novel solutions to problems posed by environmental change.
Hoosier Environmental Forecast Matrix
Goals: Incorporate data from all the modeling projects to generate predictions of rainfall, flooding and water supply, and their effects on Indiana’s ecosystems.
Hoosier Resilience Index
Goals: Create a tool for Indiana communities and regions to measure their readiness to respond to long-term changes and immediate challenges, and to track their progress over time.
Images of Change
Goals: Produce the largest online archive ever assembled of historical representations of Indiana nature from early years to the present, drawing on materials from the IU Lilly and Wells libraries, and to create an anthology of texts.
Urban Green Inventory
Goals: Create a spatially-explicit inventory of community natural assets to inform design and policy that will promote Indiana as the “Silicon Valley of Urban Green Infrastructure.”
Goals: Develop a statewide early warning system to map the invading front of vector-borne human diseases, such as Zika virus and Lyme disease, that will be available as a website with real-time data.
Wildlife Migration Dynamic Mapping
Goals: Predict organisms’ capacity to adapt to change by studying their physiology and behavior and their levels of genetic variation in key traits that may allow effective responses to environmental change.
