Urban Green Infrastructure Analysis

Urban Green Infrastructure Analysis

Working within a social-ecological systems framework, this project will bring together biophysical and socioeconomic inventories and analyses of diverse forms of urban green infrastructure (UGI) to produce new understanding of UGI costs and benefits, institutions, and actors, with the goal of optimizing UGI functioning for community sustainability and resilience.

In year one, we will work with the Polis Center to develop a prototype spatial knowledge platform, focused on assessing the accessibility and equitably of urban forests and food producing spaces in Bloomington and Indianapolis.

This project is part of the Urban Green Infrastructure working group.
