Join 300+ Indiana sustainability professionals, scholars, and climate advocates on Friday, Feb. 17 at the IUPUI Campus Center for a day of knowledge-sharing and networking to advance climate resilience in the Hoosier State.
Hosted by Indiana University’s Environmental Resilience Institute, IUPUI Sustainability, and presenting supporter the Indianapolis Airport Authority, ISRC 2023 will feature training, speakers, and panels that cut across sectors and highlight opportunities for collaboration and funding. The conference will include a keynote address from US Environmental Protection Agency Deputy Administrator Janet McCabe and a live performance from Indiana-based singer-songwriter Carrie Newcomer.
Registration is $50 for general admission and $25 for students.
ISRC breakout sessions will cover a range of sustainability and resilience topics, such as:
- the path to carbon neutrality in Indiana
- how every job can be a climate job
- research that is informing climate and resilience practices
- incorporating diversity, equity, and inclusion into climate work
- how to write successful grants to fund sustainability projects
In addition, an afternoon plenary will examine how Hoosier communities are engaging residents and making progress on climate action, including the funding mechanisms they’re leveraging. Other planned events include a conference expo and networking happy hour.
