City officials will have help in their efforts at getting a handle on greenhouse gas emissions, and tracking the effects of climate change and how they could affect the city.
Michigan City has been chosen as one of 15 cities in Indiana to participate in a community Green House Gas Emissions (GHG) Inventory technical assistance program. The Indiana Sustainability Development Program is funded by the McKinney Family Foundation and implemented through Indiana University.
The grant will provide a graduate student intern from the IU O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs who will be completing his Master of Science in Environmental Science in 2020.
