Extended reality (XR) technologies, including virtual reality and augmented reality, are powerful storytelling tools with massive potential to educate and inspire.
Through a collaboration with the IU Advanced Visualization Lab, ERI is making use of XR and artificial intelligence (AI) software to give viewers an unprecedented glimpse of climate change impacts—heat waves, flooding, drought, and more—in hopes of inspiring action. These immersive video stories combine real-word data and case studies with XR media elements to deliver a novel experience that encourages exploration, interaction, and curiosity.
