EPA aims to breathe new life into a climate software program designed to help small and midsize communities prepare for severe weather events associated with climate change.
The internet-based software package, called ARC-X, is the product of EPA's Climate Change Adaptation Resource Center, which has operated under the radar since President Trump took office in January 2017.
One early adopter was Indiana University, which launched its Environmental Resilience Institute in 2017. The institute in December released a "Hoosier Resilience Index" offering detailed climate and weather outlooks for every Indiana county and community.
