In an effort to educate the public about the growing effects of climate change on the local population ahead of the city’s creating a climate plan, Goshen’s Department of Environmental Resilience asked an expert from Purdue University to present findings during the agency’s most recent program.
The Department of Environmental Resilience’s continued presentations on climate change this week featured Gabriel Filippelli, a professor of earth sciences and director of the Center of Urban Health at IUPUI who spearheaded the health chapter of a study by the Purdue Climate Change Research Center. The program, “Impacts of Human Health and Climate Change,” discussed the three-year Indiana climate assessment.
