In 2019, the Village of Silverton, Ohio, created an energy plan focusing on energy efficiency and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Using the plan, Silverton provided renewable energy through their energy aggregation program, installed a solar array on Town Hall, and upgraded streetlights to LEDs. These upgrades have caused minimal increases in monthly costs for Silverton and will result in overall savings starting in 2030. Silverton plans to continue implementing the energy plan and achieving additional energy savings in the coming years.
