Climate change presents new risks and challenges to Indiana’s economy and Hoosiers’ well-being. A growing network of individuals and organizations, however, is finding the possibility within the problem and working to create an environmentally sustainable future for every Hoosier.
The 2025 Indiana Sustainability and Resilience Conference (ISRC), to be held Friday, Feb. 28 at the Monroe Convention Center in Bloomington, will shine a spotlight on these efforts as well as opportunities to accelerate the adoption of effective climate solutions.
Hosted by Indiana University’s Environmental Resilience Institute (ERI) and presenting supporter the Indianapolis Airport Authority, the one-day event is open to anyone—professionals, scholars, community leaders, students, and others—who wants to learn about climate pollution reduction initiatives in the state and strategies to protect communities and businesses from the impacts of extreme weather.
Registration for ISRC is $75 for general admission and $25 for students and includes a full day of conference activities, a buffet lunch, and a networking happy hour to round out the day.
“Over the last two years, Indiana has attracted more than $4 billion in federal funding for sustainability projects that are addressing everything from transportation, to buildings, to manufacturing, to agriculture, and more. Everywhere you look you’ll find Hoosiers who are doing the hard work of lowering energy costs, reducing pollution, and building up the resilience of our communities," said Bill Brown, ERI assistant director for strategy and engagement.
